The Shar-Pei is the only other dog to share the charactristic blue-black tongue with the Chow-Chow. Both are Asian dogs, so it seems somewhere along the line they are related.

Greetings to all Chow Chow fans! One of my favorite dogs, the Chow Chow needs more attention I think, since it has such a beautiful look! This Blog is dedicated to this Asian dog breed. Informative and interestings postings will be posted regularly. I hope to make this the Chow Chow blog!
